Can my cell phone be tracked by my parents if i turn it off and take out the battery?

I have the at&t VU version 1, can my parents track me if i take out the battery and turn off my phone?

NO. simply turn it off… dont be so dramatic… FamilyMAP only works when your cell phone is connected to a Cell Tower… If you simply hit the red button and turn it off, then its no longer connected to anything. ITs… OFF… lol Calm down. Its going to be ok

    but they’ll be able to find your location of where you took the battery
    out. like if you took the battery out at walmart and left to go to some other store,
    the last place they’d be able to track down would be walmart until you turn your phone back on.

  4. No, but when they find they can’t track you at all, or reach you on the phone, you’ll get in HUGE trouble for violating their trust and trying to evade them. Maybe you just shouldn’t do what you’re not supposed to do.

  6. Your parents are just trying to keep you safe. Why would you want to do that? You have no idea what might go through their minds if you do that. They’ll probably start calling you anyway and when you don’t respond then they’ll worry even more.

    And when you get back home you’ll be in big trouble.
