Where can I find sushi quality fish in Fairfax Virginia?

I’m looking for sushi quality tuna, yellow tail, etc.
Any suggestions?
(I’m not looking for large quantities….if your making sushi for 3, you don’t need three pounds of fresh fish in the fridge when your done)
Alternativly; I’ve seen sushi bars use pre-packaged fish that has been vaccume wrapped–tasted fine. Does anybody know where that is purchased.

  2. Look in your area for oriental grocery stores. These are the source of vacuum packed sushi-grade tuna, etc. You’re also in a good area for sushi-grade fish directly from the ocean. Take a drive over to some of the fishing vessel docks on the east side of the Chesapeake Bay area. You can sometimes chat with the fishermen and buy your fish directly from the boat at a price less than retail. You can’t get any better grade of fish than that!

  3. The Korean grocery store called H-Mart sells packaged fish products for sushi as well as roe and seaweed. It’s located off of Lee Hwy, close to the Rte. 50 intersection. Also try Wegmans in Faifax. Best of luck.
