    Any fish that has lived in freshwater for even a short while has some parasites. Saltwater salmon was born in a river and falls into this category. Saltwater fish don’t tend to have parasites other than other fish or in their guts which are not eaten anyways. Sea fish are safer to eat. I usually dunk my sashimi into a solution of sake and rice vinegar before plating.

    @taylorkeys1 ya its true….but when u order the chef usually puts the raw fish in a vinger like liquid to get rid of all the parasites…so its safe

    Btw. my granpa owned a butchery (Best Leberwurst in Schwenningen till 2005),
    when i had slaughtered, he always ate the best piece of beaf (from the cheek) raw, in paper-thin slices… guess that´s called caspatchio or so in italian… and raw fish… most salmon is eaten raw too… just a bit smoked… HUNGRY!!! You don´t grill fish of that quality…

    i nealry ate no fish till i came cross sushi. First time i tried it i nearly vomited, cause i wasn´t used to the eatin technique. Now im a freakin addict… common, ya can even see that it is yummie! We don´t get sushi of that quality back here in germany… at least without drivin to frankfurt and spending like 250$ per person that eve…
