    haha.. i saw this in the 90s as well on ch. 26th.. except i was in elementary school and im now an accountant! (snore)… but to be honest, the subbed versions on ch26 are much better than what they had on food network.

    So many US people misunderstand the origin of sushi.
    Actially Korea developed sushi and transfered to Japan. Thus the origin is Korea.
    So , korean people have more sushi restraunts than Japanese in USA .

    He has the longest win streak, and I meant Sakai, not Michiba, has the best win/loss record.

    Chen Kenichi holds the longest win record at 14 consecutive wins. On top of that he’s the people’s champ because he’s the most humble, and always surprised that he won, as well as having a great personality and -fantastic- artistry in the kitchen. He IS the People’s Champ. Sakai can go suck a duck.
