What’s the difference between certified mail and delivery confirmation?

I mailed something out today and was meaning to grab a delivery confirmation slip, but I guess I grabbed the certified slip instead. Does certified mail act the same as delivery confirmation–track orders and let me know when the package has arrived? Thanks!!

Certified mail generally requests a signature from the receiver. Delivery receipt simply provides confirmation that the item has been delivered. You may want to go to usps.com for further clarification, which is the United States Postal Service website.
