If chinese food is so bad for you then why are chinese people so skinny?

I don’t get it, they say chinese food is loaded with calories and fat but when you walk into a restaurant the people are always so skinny. Am i missing something?

Chinese traditional food is in small portions about the size of the small noodle bowls not the huge servings that westerners eat.

  1. Because Chinese takeaway is like us eating McDonalds. Chinese in China dont eat chinese takeaways all the time, just like we dont eat takeaways all teh time, or we would be real fat too…

  2. Because Chinese people don’t typically eat Americanized Chinese food, which is greasy and deep fried and comes in enormous portions. Chinese people eat real Chinese food, and probably don’t overdo it.

  7. Their bodies have adapted to it over the centuries. In fact scientists are now saying that whether you gain weight or not farther on in life, highly depends on the foods you ate when you were younger. So if you ate a lot of junk when you were a kid but did that your whole life you aren’t as likely to become fat when you’re older. HOWEVER it does have its flaws like why didn’t you get fat? But its just a theory that has some truth to it..

  8. Let me attempt to explain.
    This isnt necessarily true.
It’s because authentic chinese food may not be readily available, compared to takeaway chinese meals.
Most chinese foods are really healthy, such as the wanton mee, which comprises of noodle soup and vegetables . There are numerous other healthy dishes too.
I suggest you skip takeaway meals, which are "loaded with calories and fat " and eat at restaurants, where food is generally well-prepared and closer to the original item.
    Happy eating:)
