Can quinine help start delivery at due date?

In the 1960′s, my doc gave me quinine to start things to happen when I was past delivery date. Now I am reading that quinine is harmful to baby. Please tell me IF quinine has a way of causing delivery to start in any way, if at 39 or 40 weeks?

The only information I can give you on this one is that I know pregnant women should not drink too much tonic water or irn bru because it has quinine in it. And its only a tiny amount so if that is unhealthy for a pregnant women I wouldn’t take any atall weather it starts delivery off or not.

How does it work if pizza delivery drivers provide their own change?

Today was my second weekend working as a delivery driver for Domino’s. I asked my boss for "bank" which is just 20 dollars to give customers change, and he said they don’t give out change usually. He said I need to bring my own change for my shift. Is this correct? Do they reimburse me for the change? Won’t I lose money?

I always brought plenty of quarters, dimes, and nickles. Before your shift, count out your twenty dollars. You get several pizzas and delivery tickets from the dispatcher. You deliver, and get the money and tips from the customer. You come back, pay up for the delivery, and put your tickets, and exact amount in your locked box, or to dispatcher. What ever is left over, is yours. And of course the change, I didn’t care, I just kept my own change in a couple of baggies. No big deal.

As a non-native-English speaker, I would like to ask if the expression ‘a deliveries’ is correct.
I saw the phrase: "Yummy Pizza does not guarantee delivery in 30 minutes or less nor does it issue refunds for a deliveries that take more than half an hour."
Can we say ‘a deliveries’? Is ‘deliveries’ singular? Then, what’s the difference between ‘delivery’ and ‘deliveries?’

Deliveries is plural, so it is wrong, indeed, to put a singular adjective ("a") in front.

I had a new leather sofa delivered to my home by a major retailer. The delivery people unwrapped the sofa on the sidewalk outside and then carried it through my front door and up my stairs. Unfortunately, they made about a one-inch-long rub mark in the leather on the front corner of the sofa. They are having a professional come out to repair it, but should I accept this? Should I demand to have a brand new couch delivered to replace it?

It depends on the damage and how they are going to repair it. If they are making it like new, it should be OK. However, if they’re just patching it up to make it look decent, otherwise covering it up, then you most definitely should demand a replacement.

How do pizza delivery drivers divide up the deliveries?

I am going to start work as a Domino’s Pizza delivery driver. If more than 1 driver is working, how do they divide up the deliveries? Is it some kind of rotating system or what?

there is a line/rotating system..when your turn comes up, you can take as many pizza orders as you want but you must be able to make them all in time..if you get too greedy and end up with customers complaining because you are late, then you are screwed..

in some stores, the managers make the decision as to how many you can take when it gets real busy..

when you first start, you will probably get lunch which isn’t that much fun because its mostly buisness/corporate types and they are pretty bad tippers..the nighttime shift is what everyone wants..
