What should I eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner to lose weight?
Hi, I am 16 years old and i weight 250lbs. I am going to start exercising tomorrow and I really have no idea what kind of food to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I will be walking/jogging the treadmill in the morning and i am also planning on doing it sometime at night also. If you guys can give me a list of what to eat/drink for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, then I would appreciate it. Oh and also what kind of fruit should i eat? Do any fruits make you gain weight also? Thanks!
Breakfast: Oatmeal with raspberries and blueberries, or an egg white omelet with spinach and mushrooms. Orange juice is alright sparingly, but it has a lot of sugars and should only be had in an 8 oz. glass once a day.
Lunch: A salad with leafy greens (such as spinach) rather than lettuce, with skinless, grilled chicken.
Dinner: A lean meat, such as fish, with at least two types of steamed veggies.
For snacks, you can try nuts, yogurt, and fruits such as strawberries, apples, and apricots. Exotic fruits like pineapple and mango are high in sugar and should be eaten sparingly.
Try to revolve all of your meals around vegetables instead of meat, and avoid too much bread and pasta.
Good luck!
remember that it’s not just what you eat, but how much, so make sure you eat the right portions. lean meats, broiled or grilled, raw or steamed vegetables (you can eat as much of them as you want), fresh fruit, most kinds, but bananas can be fattening, low fat dairy, whole grains. keep a diary of what you eat so you’re sure you’re getting the right amounts and enough servings every day. it also keeps you accountable. drink water or drinks that are mostly water. read labels for how many calories per serving and how many servings per container. these sites can help.

for fruit eat apples, strawberries, watermelon, grapefruit. And you can go no wrong with any vegtable.
Eat a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast with an apple.. on other days switch it up and have a bowl of special k or another low fat cereal
have a snack of carrots or some other vegtable, or fruit between meals
for lunch have a salad or a sandwich with low fat meat & low fat mayo.
for dinner have fish and vegtables, or chicken and vegtables. try to stay away from meats high in fat (beef, pork)
have a bag of 100 calorie popcorn ( you can find it at the grocery store)
0% fat yogurts are also good for snacking
DRINK TONS OF WATER. No pop/juice. Instead have diet pop or buy those little crystal light packets to mix in your water (they’re usually 10 calories or less, and no sugar!)
I hope that helped a bit..

First of all, congrats to you for making the hard decision to begin a healthy lifestyle! Secondly, in terms of fruits and vegetables, eat all you want. They are low calorie, but are filled with fiber which make your stomach feel full! Try and incorporate a variety of fruits and veggies each day. For breakfast, eat a bowl of cereal (oatmeal is great!) with a piece of fruit. For lunch, have a sandwich on whole wheat or 100% whole grain bread. Try peanut butter or turkey or roast beef. All healthy options. Avoid mayonnaise, unless you use something like Smart Balance mayo in moderation. Dinner: try whole wheat or whole grain pastas with tomato-based sauces, veggie burgers (they taste great!), salads.
