In latin american food, is the use of spicy peppers most common in mexican cuisine?

In my small experience, other latin american countries do not use chiles or aji as often in there cuisine as used in mexican food. I know they use it for some dishes but is the use as prevalent as found in Mexico?

Generally, yes.You will find a wider variety of chilies with a wide range of heat in Mexican cuisine than you will find in other Latin cuisines.

  3. No. It’s mainly a Mexican thing. The food in central Mexico is hotter than in other parts. Although the Yucatan area is known for manzano and habanero chiles the people there don’t especially like hot tasting food. The north and south do not eat as hot as the center.
